Fort Berens Estate Winery Chardonnay, British Columbia
Readers rated this wine:
Approachable, zesty, fresh.
Pioneering one of BC's emerging wine regions, Fort Berens (named after a trading post, which was located on their property some 150 years ago) is located Lillooet, BC in the Fraser Canyon. The 2022 estate Chardonnay leads with freshness. It's a fragrant wine with notes of melon and orange blossoms, vanilla and creamed peaches. It's juicy and approachable with vague spice and nutty flavours. Nicely balanced with a long creamy finish.
Pair: Corn chowder, roast chicken, pan seared halibut, smoked cheeses, creamy pastas.
